Well, with Coast to Coast behind me (yes I know I haven’t uploaded my diary yet, it’s coming) focus switches to RideLondon this coming weekend. For those who don’t know, RideLondon is pretty much cycling’s equivalent to the London Marathon. Setting off from the Olympic Park, riding on closed roads around the capital and finishing on The Mall 46 miles later. There is also a 100 mile version but I’ll try the ballot for that one next year, 46 will do fine for now. It’s also the first year of the 46 so being part of the inaugural event is always a bit special, plus it’s being championed by my cycling hero Brad Wiggins who also helped design the finisher’s medal. My entry details are below, so if you see me say “Hi” or follow my progress on the RideLondon tracker app or Website which are being launched later this week.
Finally, a quick shout out for my JustGiving page. While I’m not officially doing this as a sponsored event and even though it was never a target, I’m so tantalisingly close to hitting the £5000 mark that it would be a shame not to get there. If you can spare a couple of quid, it could help me over the line.. www.justgiving.com/grindinghalt is the page you need..
Cheers
