Well what started as a pub conversation 4 years ago continues to grow. I found out this week I’d been successful in the ballot for the Prudential RideLondon (pretty much cycling’s equivalent of the London Marathon). The event is a legacy of London 2012 and held on closed roads around the capital, starting at the Olympic park and finishing on The Mall. Not getting ahead of myself but can only imagine the feeling riding up The Mall and crossing the finish line.
I entered the ballot not really believing I’d get a place but delighted when I got the confirmation. It’s at the end of July so will bookend the month nicely with the Coast to Coast ride at the beginning of the month. After the hilly C2C route, a relatively flat course should be almost enjoyable.
